MSK Centre, Ayrshire

Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing, Alex Neil MSP, visited Biggart Hospital in Prestwick where he was given a tour of the recently refurbished Musculoskeletal (MSK) Centre.

The MSK proposals, prepared by Hypostyle, included a number of internal alterations in conjunction with an overall programme of refurbishment works to improve the function and overall amenity of the Centre.

Health Secretary Alex Neil said: “I was also delighted to visit the Musculoskeletal Centre. Patients across Ayrshire have benefitted from this service, which works as a single point of contact for coordinating musculoskeletal appointments.”

John Burns, Chief Executive of NHS Ayrshire & Arran, said: “We were delighted to be able to show the Cabinet Secretary some of our most recent developments. We are very proud of the MSK Centre, which has streamlined the referral process and has had a positive impact on patients’ journeys.
